Hello, and Merry Christmas (too soon? It is the 1st December, I thought it would be okay) When I realised that I could squeeze the name of my blog into something Christmas related it was too tempting to resist. So here it is, an advent calendar of things to do and places to go around the North East.
Day 1 are the real trees at Chopwell Woods. If you head there this weekend (3rd and 4th December) or next (10th or 11th December) you can make a real event out of it. As well as picking out your tree there are refreshments available and Santa is around to meet too. Last year we got a real tree, but ended up in Tesco on about the 23rd December so I'm going to try and get along to Chopwell so its a nice family day instead of the chore it was last year.
Trees start at around £30, Refreshments are available 9am - 5pm and Father Christmas will be there from 11am - 3:30pm.
